Big Worle funded a project with Becket Primary School to create a nature trail along the green lanes of our area. The project was delivered by Avon Wildlife Trust.

The children of Becket Primary had a busy year in 2016 becoming nature detectives, improving habitats, building bird and bat boxes and planting wildflowers. In spring 2017 there was an official launch of the trail, and the wider community were invited to come along and celebrate what the school and Avon Wildlife Trust achieved. There were also beautiful booklets created to accompany the project which were given out to everyone. These describe the route, what can be found along it and how people can make small improvements for wildlife at home. Each double page spread included pieces of work created by the children from year 5.
